Introduction to off-piste skiing

Discover off-piste ski and deep powder snow!

Do you want to ski far away from the busy slopes and discover the beauty of freeriding?

My Off-Piste Skiing courses are focused on skiing the best powder snow away from the ski resorts.

We’ll use the lift systems and sometimes a little bit of walking to find the perfect patches of power snow!

Whether you are a rookie or an expert, I will help you progress by using routes adapted to your level, physical condition, risks related to the mountain environment and the evolution of the snow cover.

During the course, I will teach you the basic skiing techniques and essential safety guidelines to know for off-piste skiing.

500€ for 1 to 2 people / day

40€ per additional person / day

Avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel and probe)

Intermediate downhill skiing skills
You should feel comfortable on red runs at resorts

You will :

  • Learn the tricks to ski efficiently in various types of snow
  • Improve your ability to ski from basic off-piste to wider areas
  • Learn how to use your safety kit
  • Understand how to detect risks related to the mountain environment

Your safety is my main concern. I carry out a process every morning in order to limit the risks:

  • Checking the local weather forecast
  • Checking the snow forecast and layers with the ski patrols
  • Meeting with other ski instructors to share information

Sometimes it is wiser to change the itinerary in order to be sure to spend a safe and fun time in the mountains. If I consider that the conditions are not safe enough we will choose another route.

I will provide an avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel and probe) to each participant.

Before each ski trip I will check your gear and advise you on the right equipment for the trip we have planned.
